All that glitters may or may not be relegated to the attic soon-as it’s time to dismantle the holiday trimmings; have to put my elves to work as they’re back to school in a few days. I was reminded of the clean up ahead as we walked the sidewalks of the Upper East Side in Manhattan yesterday. There, you couldn’t help but notice the barren Christmas trees stripped of their holiday adornment waiting for the trash collector. I’m happy to say that we can recycle ours in our back woods.
This is one of my favorite quick finds this year and I just love it. My good friend and fellow Minks-t0-Sinks buddy Mary Tucciarone creates all things beautiful using vintage glass bulbs-like this one-and it happens to be arranged in such a stunning compote. We all wish we had more table space to hold more of Mary’s goodies. Maybe it’ll be on display ’till —who knows when? I can’t bear to bring it out only at Christmas.
